St. Stephen’s University – 8 Main St, St. Stephen, NB

Friday, August 16, 2019

4:00pm – 8:00pm

Cost: Donation or Festival Pass

Grab a picnic blanket or a couple of chairs and join us for an afternoon of music on the hill in front of Park Hall! You may want to make yourself a s’more at the fire bit before being swept off your feet by Shaun Ferguson, Joel Mason, and Ariel Smith. This afternoon event will have activities for the whole family, complete with washers, bean bag toss, flower crowns, and more!

If you’ve never been to the university before, now is a great time to check it out! Indoors, we will have a very special artist showcase set up within the gathering spaces of the smallest university in Canada!

The main headliner for this event is virtuoso guitarist Shaun Ferguson. He offers modern, free and transcendent instrumental music. A native of the Acadian Peninsula in New Brunswick, he captivates his audience with his charismatic personality and his musical flights that appeal to both fans and less informed audiences. After Ascensions released in 2011, Shaun Ferguson is preparing his second opus. (https://shaunferguson.bandcamp.com/)

So glad to have been to the Bonfirefestival today. The music was very enjoyable. The ‘special guest’, guitarist Shaun Ferguson from northern NB was magical to listen to. Someone from the Bonfirefestival made a great discovery in him.
